Bad Visuals
20 May, 2006
this looks like a great book, one thing brings it down, though. i hate to sound lookist but the photographs of the people who are doing the exercises are truly bad--i would rather not look at balding long haired 49 year old hippies and 200 pound women getting into these poses. Check out the plus size woman on pg 113 doing the alley cat--and the old lady with the huge behind and jowls. i suppose it's not very pc but this motley collection of flabby people encased in spandex does not project an image of health and vitality. not very inspiring.

Doug Swenson - Power Yoga
21 December, 2008
Doug has a different approach to power yoga that is mellowing as he gets older.
This is a great book for the part of us inside which needs a challenge and wants to go further with our yoga.
Great book, great yogi.
