Good General Intro - But Getting Quite Dated
31 January, 2010
This is a good general introduction to the white wines of the world. The book itself was written in 1996, so the specific vineyards, vintages, and even market trends have shifted somewhat over the last 15 years, including the loss of some of the top suggestions. Setting the age of the book aside for a moment, the material about white wines in general is easy to digest, and provides the reader with enough information to be able to be reasonably intelligent on varietals and general information. A good intro.

Worth Buying
09 November, 2006
Demystifying and approachable. It's also cheap so if you leave it in a hotel room (as I did) you can inexpensively replace it. A nice supplement to Wine for Dummies by the same author.
