Best Of The Best Author's On Frontpage 2002
26 September, 2009
Jim Buyens uses his technical writing abilities to help you develop your website and populate it with the right kinds of content to achieve your goals, and plan the experience visitors will have when visiting your web site .
I found this author to be the most knowledgeable I've ever read on this subject. He clearly knows how to guide you through programming content you might want to add to your website.
The book is a well executed technical manual on the FrontPage 2002 product with a great table of contents, excellent articles throughout and an awesome index, It contains a CD disc containing a full website example, a complete eBook copy of the manual so you can browse the book on line, and many other features and content. The CD is impressive by itself.
I will look for and use this author's tech manuals on other FrontPage products I may own in the future.

Front Page Resource Book
10 April, 2009
If you are just starting out with Front Page get a book designed for learning the basics of web building. If you have been using Front Page and have built a web site and just need insight and understanding to some of the finer details of the program this book is the best. For the price I have found it invaluable. It is hard to get through but if you already know what you want to accomplish you can track the information and learn from it. I don't have any web design or computer training other than being able to use basic programs so my experience comes from what I can learn through these types of books. You will have to search the book and the book does not hold your hand through web design processes. But if you know what you want to do and can't figure it out with the basic web design books you may well find this book helpful. I did. Anything that takes you closer to your goal is worth searching for and at least looking into. Check it out at the library if you are still wondering if you should pay for it. These authors work for Microsoft and they do know the program quite well.

Used This Book And Now Have 3 Money-making Sites.
31 January, 2004
I had no experience building web sites when I bought Jim Buyen's book "FrontPage INSIDE OUT". In just a few weeks, I had my first site up and running. Two more sites quickly followed. The book is 1000+ pages of invaluable information. Plus, the book comes with a CD for viewing on your computer. The cost-to-value ratio of this book is also good. One tip the author included about "Adding Favorites" icons to user's browsers was worth the cost of the book alone. Don't be intimitated by the size of this book. As you improve your knowledge, things become crystal clear.

Not Great
15 June, 2006
The layout of this book is not impressive. I find myself flipping back and forth and back for every reference to another subject. As a warning, it is a pretty advanced book as far as Frontpage goes. If you have little to no knowledge of Frontpage, get Frontpage for Dummies as this book will be difficult to learn with. This is what I had to do. But after a couple years of experience with Frontpage, I can finally use this book.
